Volleyball Hosts Senior Night

The Lady Badgers volleyball team took home another win on its senior night, Nov. 1, beating the Tuskegee Golden Tigers 3-0 to wrap up their home and SIAC schedules at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center. 

The Golden Tigers (8-17, 5-13 SIAC) came into the matchup against the Lady Badgers shorthanded with only seven players dressed out for the game.  The Lady Badgers took advantage of this, scoring 12 points before the Golden Tigers scored any, and finished the first set with a 25-7 victory. The second set was just as strong for the Badgers and led with an early lead of 19-3.  The Lady Badgers scored 6 more points and the Golden Tigers scored 3, bringing the total to 24-6. The Golden Tigers scored 6 more points before the Lady Badgers finished off the second set with a final score of 25-12. The Lady Badgers rotated in some of its younger players in the third set to give the seniors a break.  The Golden Tigers had a brief 10-8 lead before that was ended by the Lady Badgers, and the third set was finished with a final score of 25-20 in favor of SHC.  

The Lady Badgers have finished their fourth consecutive undefeated season in the SIAC and brought their current series record against the Golden Tigers to 13-0.
