Voodoo Music and Arts Experience, also known as Voodoo Fest, will be celebrating twenty years of festivities on October 26-28 in New Orleans' City Park. This Halloween weekend, Voodoo Fest will feature headliners such as Mumford and Sons, Childish Gambino, Arctic Monkeys, Marilyn Manson and many more.

The music festival will offer a unique experience for festival-goers. As Voodoo Fest falls on the weekend before Halloween, the festival embraces the spooky atmosphere and the history of New Orleans’ voodoo to create an engaging environment for attendees. Voodoo Fest veteran, Delaney Naramore, described how the festival forms such an experience: “Voodoo is really more of a nighttime festival which makes the atmosphere a lot different... It’s a lot cooler and they can do a lot more with light and fog features.” Not only does the festival take advantage of the nighttime ambiance for musical artists, but the festival also offers a wide range of activities for attendees to enjoy throughout the festival grounds during the day and into the night. You can take a ride on the ferris wheel, taste the local cuisine or pick up some handcrafted jewelry - just to name a few.

In order to ensure the best possible experience, three-time Voodoo attendee Caitlin Hellmers suggested: “Bring an empty water bottle and be prepared to be cold, because the weather always randomly switches during the fest… but take it all in, get the jambalaya and lemonade, it’s worth the jacked up prices.” While there may be a lot to explore at Voodoo, Naremore warns festival-goers: “don’t bring an excess of cash, because you’ll want to spend it all.” If you are looking to attend Voodoo take these tips and “take it all in”.

As Voodoo Festival nears, ticket prices will rise. Voodoo is offering one-day and three-day General Admission, VIP and Platinum passes. For more information and to see the full lineup, visit www.voodoofestival.com.
