The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics is celebrating the successful conclusion of a multi-year effort. It's been announced that the school's athletic teams have been granted NCAA Division II status beginning with the 2018-2019 school year.

In past years, all 16 varsity Spring Hill teams were ineligible for conference championships or NCAA postseason play as the three-year process for achieving NCAA status was prolonged while the school worked to achieve SACSCOC accreditation. When accreditation was granted last winter, it paved the way for NCAA membership.
